Silicone prosthetic can last for years, but once you get a tiny nick or cut in it, it will tear easily, so keep your FTM away from cat claws, teeth and other sharp objects. Never use silicone-based lubricants on silicone items. The additive in the lube that keeps the silicone liquid can hurt your FTM. Based on general usage with proper care, the average life span for the FTM is about 12 months. If you use the FTM regularly for STP (Stand To Pee), we encourage you to renew your FTM yearly to maintain good hygiene.
